A workforce reflects the rich variety of backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives across the nation is better equipped to develop innovative solutions, foster creativity, and address complex challenges. Diversity enhances decision-making, improves communication, and ensures that federal programs are inclusive and responsive to the needs of all individuals.
History, Mission, Goals & Priorities
For over 25 years, NCHEPM has been dedicated to empowering and creating partnerships to strengthen the federal workforce. The Council and its members have played a crucial role in building coalitions and networks to enhance the recruitment, development, and retention of Hispanics and other underserved communities in the federal workforce. Through collaboration and leadership, the council continues to drive meaningful progress, ensuring that opportunities in the federal sector are accessible and equitable for all. By prioritizing the recruitment, development, and retention of skill professionals from all communities, the federal government not only strengthens its capacity to serve but also builds public trust, demonstrating a commitment to equity, representation, and excellence in service delivery.
With this mission in mind, NCHEPM restructured in 2024, adding new Board positions such as Treasurer and Webmaster, and appointed chairs for the five subcommittees: Coalitions & Partnerships, K-16 Outreach, Training/Continuing Education, Programs & Events, and Recruitment & Hiring. These changes will continue to enhance our governance and propel forward our initiatives for the year.
